1MD Charity Run 2024 Terms & Conditions

  1. By registering for the Charity Run, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by all terms and conditions outlined herein.
  2. Participants will be charged a Registration Fee as follows:-
    • BAC Students: RM35.00 (BAC Students are required to bring their Student IDs on the day of the event, for verification purposes)
    • Others: RM80.00
  3. Participant Conduct:
    • Participants agree to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner and to treat fellow participants, volunteers, organisers, and spectators with respect and courtesy at all times during the event.
    • Participants are required to wear the Charity Run T-shirts provided by the Organiser during the event. In the event that your preferred size of T-shirt is not available, the Organiser shall provide the closest available size to the preferred size.
    • Participants are encouraged to bring their own water / isotonic beverages.
    • Participants are not permitted to bring pets or other animals onto the track / course of the Charity Run
    • Participants are required to observe any applicable laws and regulations when participating in the Charity Run.
  4. Health and Fitness:
    • Participants must ensure they are medically and physically fit to participate in the Charity Run.
    • Participants are encouraged to take basic medical check-ups prior to the date of the event.
    • Participants acknowledge that they are in good health and have obtained medical clearance from a qualified medical professional to participate in the Charity Run.
  5. Assumption of Risk:
    • Participants understand and acknowledge that participating in a charity run involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, and hazards associated with running on roads or trails.
    • The Organiser shall not be held accountable or responsible for any type of harm, infection of a disease that is transmittable, injury, death, or other losses originating from preparation for, training for, or during the Charity Run.
    • The Organiser will not be liable and assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury and/or casualty for any reasons or matters whatsoever or howsoever arising from the Charity Run.
    • Participants agree to assume all risks associated with their participation in the Charity Run.
    • The Organisers reserve the right to postpone the Charity Run, for any reason, including but not limited to safety concerns, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
    • Participants acknowledge that registration fees are non-refundable and nontransferable in the event of cancellation or postponement of the Charity Run due to circumstances beyond the Organisers’ control.
    • The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Charity Run up to one (1) month prior to the date of the event If the registrations received are insufficient, or if the Charity Run is no longer economically viable. In these circumstances, a refund of the registration fees will be made within thirty (30) days from the date the announcement of cancellation is made.
  6. Medical Assistance:
    • The Organiser shall use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that appropriate First Aid assistance will be available for the duration of the Event. There will be clearly signed First Aid points at the start/finish area of the course.
    • Volunteers and marshals in attendance at the Charity Run are not medically trained and will not give medical assistance other than requesting for an ambulance or paramedic in the event that medical assistance is required.
  7. Participants are advised to take up their own personal or other insurance policies, if so desired.
  8. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs and recordings collected during the event, for any purposes, including commercial advertising.
  9. Participant’s data shall be collected and processed for the purposes of the Charity Run only.
  10. The Closing Date for registrations is 22nd June 2024. Applications for registration after the said date and any walk-in registrations on the date of the Charity Run will not be entertained.
  11. Participants under the age of 18 acknowledge that they have obtained parental or guardian consent to participate in the Charity Run.
  12. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify an entry if it does not comply with the terms and conditions of the Charity Run.
