B20 and B40 families from Serendah, a small town not too far away from Kuala Lumpur, were thankful to receive grocery bags under the FreeMakan campaign.
On 21st and 22nd August 2021, 60 grocery packs with food essentials were delivered by BAC Education’s community partner, Hope Foundation. This delivery, was made possible with SPARK Foundation coming on board to donate these grocery packs.
From June 2021, BAC Education has partnered with a network of community-based organisations to meet the immediate needs of the poor and homeless affected by the pandemic. To date, we have reached 21 000 families, 84 000 people in total. As more families living below the poverty line are being identified, we at FreeMakan together with our partners and sponsors aim to raise more funds to purchase and deliver groceries to marginalised and disadvantaged communities throughout the nation.
