BAC2School with a Communication and Presentation Skills Workshop at SMK (P) Pudu

Roleplay

Keeping up its momentum, BAC2School organied another workshop on Communication and Presentation Skills for 100 Form 4 and Form 5 students at SMK (P) Pudu. The workshop, led by Ms. Chrishnaveni, encouraged students to think critically and engage creatively through a series of group activities.

The first activity was a 5-minute role play on topics such as Mental Health, Social Media Influence and Cyberbullying. The students, divided into 10 groups, were tasked with choosing one topic, creating a storyline, and presenting their role play to the class.

The aim was to highlight contemporary issues and encourage students to communicate their message effectively. Each group demonstrated excellent teamwork, discussing the effects of their chosen issue and providing creative solutions. This activity fostered a deeper understanding of societal challenges while sharpening their communication and collaborative skills.

AI and Presentation Skills

The second activity challenged students to envision how Artificial Intelligence (AI) could impact their daily lives and their studies. Equipped with mahjong papers and markers, the students brainstormed and presented ideas on how AI could evolve to improve education and day-to-day routines.

From AI tutors to tools for time management, the students' presentations were innovative and insightful. This exercise allowed them to refine their presentation skills while thinking more on the long term in regard to future technology.

Overall, the workshop was a huge success. It was fun, encouraging and educational and for BAC2School, that ticks all the boxes. With students demonstrating a strong grasp of communication, creativity and problem-solving skills, our instructors were proud of their engagement and enthusiasm to learn.

They actively engaged in discussions about important social issues and shared thoughtful perspectives on how AI could shape the future. By the end of the session, the students had not only enhanced their communication and presentation abilities but also gained valuable knowledge of real-world challenges.
