BAC2School's Study Skills & Time Management Workshop at SMK MBS KL

On 27 March 2025, a team of trainers visited SMK MBS KL to conduct an engaging session on study skills and time management for 150 Form 5 students. The event took place from 9:30am to 11:00am, and was led by trainers Leong Pik Wah, Hayden Chiew Chin Kent, Muhammad Adam Bin Mohamed Yusoff, and Shahirah Shuaib, with Mr. Jayceva coordinating communications with the school through Puan Nabila, the school's counsellor. The session aimed to equip students with essential skills to enhance their academic performance through a series of interactive activities.
The event began with opening remarks by Hayden, who also introduced the students to the BAC Education Group. He then delivered a brief lecture on study skills and time management, setting the stage for the session.
Following this, Sha gave a short talk about "time thieves" and instructed the students to group together and work on a Mahjong paper, listing down their time thieves (things or people that take away their time). The students were encouraged to express their ideas in multiple ways, such as mind maps and visuals, and were given 15 minutes for this activity.
Next, Pik Wah explained the second part of the activity, which focused on mitigating the time thieves and how students can address them. The students were given another 10 minutes to list down the mitigative measures they could take.
Sha and Adam then conducted the presentation session, where each group presented their work in front of the others. This allowed students to practice their communication skills and share their insights.
Hayden concluded the programme with a summary, emphasising the importance and relevance of the skills discussed for the students' future. The teachers thanked the team for coming over and delivering the programme. The programme was an overall success and it proceeded with little to no major disruptions.
