Just one day before Malaysia’s Independence Day, Community Mobiliser Hope Foundation partnered with FreeMakan and Creador Foundation to successfully distribute 200 packs of groceries to B20 and B40 families located at Kuala Kubu Bahru and Rasa, Selangor.
On 30th August 2021, Hope Foundation and its field team set out to to deliver these grocery packs. 100 packs were handed to heads of households in Kuala Kubu Bahru, and another 100 went to families staying in Rasa.
To avoid the spread of COVID-19, the team strictly adhered to SOPs during delivery.
FreeMakan and its collaborative partners are here to ensure no one is left starving, what more with muted Merdeka celebrations set to kick in the next day. We hope that more members of society will be able to come forward with generous donations in cash and kind, backing communities in need, and helping them overcome challenges during a tough time like this.
